Wax Melt Tips: Get the Most Out of Your Scents
🧊 Wax Melt Tips
1. Don’t Overfill the Warmer
Use the recommended amount of wax for your warmer, usually 1–2 cubes. Overfilling can reduce scent throw and cause spills.
2. Change Your Wax Regularly
You’ll know it’s time to change the wax when you can no longer smell it. Even if the wax hasn’t melted away, the fragrance oils may have burned off.
To remove old wax: Let it cool and harden, then pop it out with a spoon or cotton ball.
3. Use the Right Warmer
Make sure your warmer is compatible with wax melts (not oils). Electric warmers are great for consistent heat and safety and can sometimes last longer with a more subtle aroma.
4. Use the correct tealights
Only use tealights that have a maximum 4 hour burn time. If you use an 8 hour one, it will get far too hot and burn off the oil too quickly, meaning it could be too strong and it wont last at all.Â
Final Thoughts
Taking care of your candles and wax melts is more than just safety, it’s about getting the best experience possible. With just a little extra care, your home will stay cosy, fragrant and full of good vibes.
